Hello
I’ve been chairing the PPG (Patients Participation Group) for 3 years now. We are a small group who meet every 3 months and we are keen to try and make Fireclay Health the best practice it can be.
Whilst every GP practice should have a PPG, some do not. We are lucky to have the full support of the practice managers and staff at Fireclay Health and we work extremely well together.
We learn about processes, systems, compliments and complaints. In return, we feed back with our views and suggestions. I try to consider how new processes could have an impact on all of the Fireclay Health's patients (we have around 24,000!!). I also want to ensure that we can reach everyone – using all forms of communication, from paper to digital.
So why do I do it? I am involved because I know how much effort goes on behind the scenes to continually improve services. The practice now offers access to a variety of health services provided by a wide range of professional staff. This is more than we could have imagined 10 years ago. I know that feedback and suggestions from the PPG have led to better services and that’s very rewarding.
If you want to find out more about how Fireclay Health works and ensure it is one of the best practices in the area, do have a look at the minutes from our meetings to see what we do. If you are interested – then please fill in the form below.
